~ An Hour With You~
Old Lady
I'm just an old lady
who lives all alone,
I have a car and I have a home,
And I have some kids who've grown up and gone,
Now I'm just an old lady who lives all alone.
I'm just an old lady who lives all alone,
Sometimes when my children were little I'd moan,
"I'll be so glad when they all get grown",
So I can be an old lady and live all alone.
I'm just an old lady who lives all alone,
Soon came the nights I'd sit almost till dawn,
Waiting impatiently for my kids to come home,
Too soon I'll be an old lady who lives all alone.
Now I'm just an old lady who lives all alone,
Some days I long for the ringing of the phone,
A word from my children "Mom, I'm coming home",
Then I won't be an old lady who feels all alone.
I'm just an old lady who lives all alone,
Oh! the joy they bring when they come back home,
I'll be so sad when once again they're gone,
Then I'll be just an old lady who lives all alone.
