Love's Embrace

The darkness encroaches,
A night we will share,
My heart quickens, anticipating,
Love, so sweet and rare.

Your heart belongs to me,
Mine returns your love,
The joys we exchange,
Are gifts blest from above.

Strong arms surround,
Encircling and gently hold,
I quiver from your touch,
Treasure your actions bold.

The skies suddenly explodes,
Stars cascade all around,
Release has overtaken our senses,
I regret reality's rebound.
