Enchanted Evening
She lived in a shabby house
On the outside of a rich influential town
Know one in town even recognized
Her family existed or was ever around
Her Mother had this beautiful
material
A beautiful satin, color the shade of blue
Given to her, by her loving Mother
Many, Many years passed
Her Mother was the best
seamstress
She made her a magnificent gown
With all her love, tenderness and care
So she could go to the annual ball
Mother always said, God says
The rich are no better than the poor
The rich influential could never imagine
They may someday wear the shoes of the poor
As she walked into the dance
In her beautiful blue satin gown
Everyone turned and looked around
Thinking she must be someone new in town
A handsome man meandered over to her
Asked sweetly would you like to waltz
They danced the whole night through
A magical dream had suddenly come true
She will always remember the magic
On that beautiful, beautiful night
When that handsome young man
Held her extra tight
For her it was an enchanted evening
She will always remember, the love
That she felt upon that special night
