~ An Hour With You~

Do you see inside the window,
The window to my soul,
Do you see the secrets,
That I wish not to be told.

Do you see inside the window,
And glimpse the horrors there,
Do you see the things I hide,
Things I cannot dare to share.

Do you see inside the window,
Is the vision clear so you see,
All that I hide inside my soul,
Things that are consuming me.

Do you see inside the window,
Do you hear a child's crying sounds,
Do you hear my mournful pleas,
That I have masked and bound.

Do you see inside the window,
At the pain in my young heart,
Do you see the scars present,
Of me they are an inseparable part.

Do you see inside the window,
Does the view show the helplessness,
Can you see the wish to change life,
Yet, A child forever seeped in hopelessness.

Do you see inside the window,
Does it stir in you a desire to free,
A child mature beyond her years,
That wishes only a child to be.
