Walk In My Shoes

Please don’t make fun of me
Because I’m different than you
You should not judge my life
Until you walk in my shoes

Please try to understand
There’s been sadness in my life
I know it is hard to understand
Unless you’ve walked in my shoes

Please have some compassion
When you meet someone like me
Be kind, considerate and loving
For maybe some time this might be you

Treat everyone kind and loving
For your world could fall apart
Maybe what happened in my world
May someday happen to you

So please treat me the way
You would want others to treat you
For someday you might have to
End up walking in my shoes

So please don’t judge me
Until you walk a mile in my shoes
