~ An Hour With You~

 "Twas A Night To Remember!"

'Twas a night to remember
And all through the town
All was quiet…no one around

Except for the man....
And woman with child
On a late winters eve
That was so mild...

Sitting quietly, filled with peace
Mary knew, time was drawing near
To give birth, yet feeling so weary
Full of faith, not relenting to fear

Joseph walked slowly beside her
She watched, as he became forlorn
Eagerly searching for a place…….
For this Blessed child to be born

"No room, no room," is all he heard
Then...an Innkeeper gave a stable… to lay
Saying "Nothing available, not one bed
Go then…make a place in the hay"

With relief, the couple made ready
To await the Babe, that heaven sent
Looking up, they saw a great star
Assuring them, As they went…..

Later that night… Jesus was born
While the town was asleep, unaware
Sent by the Lord, God on high
For all peoples…our sins to bear

Let us lift our hands up to him
Not push that little "Babe" aside
For "He" is the light of the world
Not Santa…. On a night's sleigh ride

Yes….'Twas a night to remember
Long ago, with the snow falling slow
A sweet little Babe …lying in a Manger
Here, because "God" loved the world so….

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not parish
But have everlasting life.
