The Rose In The Mirror

While shopping the other day
I saw the most magnificent mirror
By the mirror was a lovely pink rose
Wandering over to glance in the mirror
I saw the reflection of the beautiful rose

That  rose in the mirror
Was the most beautiful pink rose
Every petal was perfectly formed
With a lovely spicy rose smell

Asking the price of the mirror and rose
The clerk replied, there was no such mirror
Or beautiful fresh pink rose
In the whole department store

Confused, going back to were I saw
The fresh lovely pink rose
And the reflection in the mirror
To my astonishment was the mirror
The rose was still reflected in the mirror

Having felt sad and lonely
Thinking no one seemed to care
I realized the rose in the mirror
Was sent to me by God

To show me a lot of things
Are not always as they seem
