The Angels Rejoice

A sinner fell upon his knees,
His heart so empty inside,
Crumpled down upon the floor,
He emptied his heart and cried.

Oh! This sinner was so sad,
Christ was not allowed to reside,
In the depths of his inner soul,
For Christ had been pushed aside.

He cried and asked of God,
Cleanse me from within,
Dwell inside my heart,
And purge from me all sin.

The heavens opened wide,
His prayers relieved his strife,
That day his name was added,
To the book of eternal life.

As the heart became fulfilled,
He was forgiven of all wrong,
When Jesus wrote his name,
Ten thousand angels sang a song.

They rejoiced in songs of praise,
Of Jesus’ love they did sing,
And through out the heavens,
A multitude of angelic voices ring.

The praying body upon the floor,
Was no longer a sinner unsaved,
He was filled with salvation,
For to Jesus his heart he gave.

In the sweet by and by,
Yes! Sweet angles sing aggrandized,
I will meet you on that beautiful shore,
In God’s glorious heavenly skies.
