Rock Bottom

When everything is going wrong
Making me so down and blue
And I’ve lost all hope to carry on
Not knowing…. Just what to do

It seems I have hit rock bottom
With no place to go…. But up
I feel like a wide-open target
Problems, overflow from my cup

Ah, but that is when I surrender
Lifting hands…high into the air
A gesture to God, telling him
I need, guiding love and care

He knows I’ve tried it my way
My capabilities…. Falling short
Thinking "I" had things covered
Not asking Him for support

So now…. I begin a new lesson
Including "God" in all that I do
Trusting, he’ll show me the way
With blessings to see me through!
