I always wanted something of my own
So I called God up on the phone
I told him I need a friend all my own
He said he would give me
Something I could take home

God gave me a little Heavenly pup
That I think I could almost keep in a cup
He had two little wings
And I thought I could almost hear him sing

He would lick my cheek and cuddle up close
By now I love him , Oh so much
I'd pick him up and hold him extra tight
He would stay by me all thought the night

I know now I did hear him sing
Cause he sings when he flaps his wings
Now I'll never have to be alone
Cause God gave me something all my own
