Loneliness

Sometimes our world
Is filled with loneliness
You can be among hundreds of people
And still feel you're all alone

Needing the sound of a friend
Saying how much they care
The gentle touch of a loved one
Saying they'll always be there

Loneliness is a sad emotion
That twists and tears
Your soft loving heart apart
Losing your will to endure

Look around, touch someone
Who is lonely and needs a friend
Your friendship and love
May help them to persevere

From the great feeling of loneliness
That sometimes lives
Within a loving gentle heart
