I Asked God

 

I asked God for some water
He gave a rushing sea.
I asked God for a morsel
A feast He gave to me.

I asked God for forgiveness
Salvation I received.
I asked God for awareness
He helped me to perceive.

I asked God for knowledge
Wisdom, He gave to me.
I asked God for foresight
He enabled me to see.

I asked God for tranquility
And peace He gave to me.
I asked God to end my strife
And I received Eternal Life.
