If no one believed in you

Were would we be tomorrow
If God stopped trying today
Just gave up on us
Covered his eyes and turned away
Who would we have to truly love us
Protect us from ourselves
And the evil in the world
Show us what is good for us
While keeping us off a destructive path
If God stopped trying
To make this a better world
We would feel forsaken and forlorn
No faith to carry us through
Our heartache, sorrow and pain
Only God our father can mend
