~ An Hour With You~

Autumn Passing

Dried and wind torn, all that once was green
Fallen ground ward, remnants of their lives
There's no returning, now winter is nigh
Autumn passing
The dross is gathered up now;
The smoke trails off in the wind
It's too late now

Did I show His undying love
When paths had crossed my way?
Or did I lose our precious time
That never comes again?
Now they're nowhere to be found,
All their dreams have turned to dust
The autumn years pass, taken from our grasp

A light snow's falling which covers barren ground
It brings His beauty, new life to empty souls
His time moves upon us, oh seasons will change
Autumn Passing
The days are getting shorter, the daylight slips away
Darkness follows unless we take hold of His love

I didn’t feel the crossing winds,
Which turned the weather bane
They’re withdrawn unto themselves,
In shelter and unknowing
Now they're nowhere to be found,
All their dreams have turned to dust
The autumn years pass, taken from our grasp

Autumn's Passing, time is fading
Those who miss the Fathers calling
Surely pass away
Now they're nowhere to be found,
All their dreams have turned to dust
The autumn years pass, taken from our grasp
