Angelic Dreams

Do not fear little child,
so tender, sweet, and mild.
God heard your infant prayers,
and He knows your every care.

He has sent me to your side,
through the night I will abide.
Sweet baby with cherubic face,
I'll hold you in gentle embrace.

I'll cover you with kisses sweet,
from your head to your tiny feet.
Should you awake and cry,
I'll sing to you a lullaby.

I've been with you from the start,
I, your angel shall not depart.
I'll keep you safe on this starry night,
and wake you with the dawn's first light.
